Community before launch
Share where people already gather
Psoriasis, eczema, and autoimmune communities are active — and allergic to spam. The goal is high-quality waitlist signups from people who actually need flare + habit tracking.
Where to show up
Reddit
Helpful replies in spaces like r/Psoriasis and r/Autoimmune — answer the question first; mention Vela only when it’s genuinely useful. Never cold-drop links in every thread.
Facebook groups
Condition-specific groups often allow resource shares if you lead with your story (lived experience) and ask permission from mods when required.
TikTok / creators
Micro-creators who live with psoriasis, eczema, or autoimmune conditions convert better than big wellness accounts. Offer early access + a clear brief — not a script that sounds like an ad.
What to share (ready links)
- Habits for psoriasis flare-ups
- Habits for eczema flare-ups
- Autoimmune symptom tracking
- Sleep and skin connection
- Why Megan built Vela
Rules that keep trust
- Be a member first — reply helpfully for weeks before promoting.
- Disclose when you’re the founder (“I built this after my mom and I dealt with psoriasis”).
- Never claim Vela diagnoses, cures, or replaces a clinician.
- Prefer DMs / mod approval over blast posts when groups are strict.
- Track what converts: use
?utm_source=reddit(or facebook / tiktok) on waitlist links.
